teaches the flute at The Purcell School and also works as a deputy at Trinity Laban and the junior departments of the Royal Academy, Trinity and Guildhall.

 

An innovative and enthusiastic teacher, she has been a guest artist on numerous flute events and courses, working with thousands of flute players. Her creative teaching style has earned her an international reputation, with several workshops and masterclasses scheduled across the UK, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Poland, Hong Kong, Kenya, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Holland, Gran Canaria, Australia and America. 

 

She has been a course tutor for Flute School London for eight years, working with adults and children, and is a keen supporter of flute charity Flutewise - working for the organisation since 2005, assisting Liz Goodwin (Founder) on residential courses and events in the UK, Slovenia and Croatia. 

 

As a performer, Abbie is a busy freelancer - working as a soloist and with chamber groups, orchestras and in London's West End. She is currently performing in Pinocchio at London's National Theatre.
